Hello fellow NCSG members.

This month, your two representatives to the Transfer Policy Review Working
Group (TPR WG), Mr. Juan Manuel Rojas and I, will begin the process of
convening members to discuss, collect and draft our public comment on the
Working Group's initial report, which was issued last July 31.

As we prepare for the public comment process, we invite all interested
members to participate in the ICANN Org engagement team's two webinars,
coming this week and next, which are designed to describe the main points
contained in the TPR recommendations.

Each of the two webinars covers a different set of recommendations in the
initial report. According to the description, the first webinar will cover
the recommendations about transferring a domain from one registrar to
another (Group 1A from the charter) and the second will cover
recommendations about Change of Registrant and the Transfer Dispute
Resolution Procedure (Group 1B & Group 2 from the charter). From the webinar
description, "The webinar objective is to complement the information
provided in the Initial Report published for public comment."

The first of these webinars is Wednesday, September 4, 2024 @ 13:00 UTC.

You can find more information about the TPR WG, including the initial
report, here:

Later this month Juan and I will convene additional discussions that focus
on any NCSG concerns that may arise, so stay tuned!

We feel the above webinars are a good way to gain some familiarity with the
issues and rationale behind the recommendations,

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Best regards

Ken
