Nomination Open GNSO Council

Dear all,

I want to take this opportunity once again to thank you all for supporting
me over the past 4 years on the GNSO Council. It has been very refreshing.

My term on the council ends this year, and I would like to take this
opportunity to nominate *Emmanuel Vitus *for the GNSO Council position.
Currently, Emmanuel is the NPOC Policy Chair.

I have followed Emmanuel’s growth within ICANN for some time. years now,
and I see him as effective in policy work. His contributions to the lDNs
EPDP for the NCSG and his numerous public comments highlight his dedication
and expertise.  His participation in the ICANN Leadership Program has also
given him a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of ICANN.

His leadership as Policy Chair for NPOC and active involvement within the
IGF and a number of Internet Governance Schools as faculty member further
showcase his capabilities. Emmanuel’s extensive experience in the
non-profit sector positions him well to balance our membership in the
council, ensuring diverse and effective representation.

Moreover, Emmanuel’s fluency in French, English, and Portuguese enables him
to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

I believe it is crucial to give the younger generation a chance to
represent our interests, and Emmanuel’s proven leadership and expertise
make him an ideal candidate for the GNSO Councillor position.

I hope Emmanuel accepts this nomination.
