FW: ICANN org PPSAI Org Implementation Leads PPSAI IRT

Absolutely need more time. And before this goes to implementation,
Council needs to stop and ask questions, including /how we can continue
with the results of a PDP that predates dramatic changes in privacy and
data protection laws around the world?
/

*This PDP result should first be sent by Council to ICANN Legal, and
ICANN's Chief Privacy Officer, to analyze and help the GNSO understand
what parts of the PDP are called into question (or rendered moot) by
subsequent laws for large regions of the world, including the GDPR in
2018. *Dozens of countries have followed the EU's example and passed
comprehensive data protection laws in many regions of the world. /All
after this PDP ended./

/Can our Councilors lead the questions and redirection of this
recommendation? /*This old policy is not ready for implementation, and
it will be a huge argument and waste of time. *Because this was a PDP in
the GNSO, it is up to Council to lead and redirect it - and gather more
information and call for a legal analysis. Otherwise, 1000s more hours
will be wasted.

Best, Kathy
