Welcome to IDNs EPDP session at ICANN76

Dear colleagues,
Welcome to ICANN76!
This saturday 11 March 2023 at 09:00 Cancun (UTC-5),  we will be having our
first working session for Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs). This EPDP
is expected to provide the GNSO Council with policy recommendations on i)
the definition of all TLDs and the management of variant labels to
facilitate the delegation of variant gTLDs in the root zone, and ii)
address how the IDN Implementation Guidelines should be updated in the
future.

This working session will allow the EPDP Team to continue its deliberation
of its charter questions, particularly as the Team is working toward
publishing its Phase 1 Initial Report focusing on top-level IDN gTLD
definition and variant management.

As the IDN topic is of interest to us as a stakeholder group,  you are
welcome to observe the session. For those attending the meeting physically,
the session will take place at the Cozumel 2.  For those online
participants, you can join via  Zoom link on the ICANN76 Schedule.

See attached the consolidated view of the draft Phase 1 recommendations the
EPDP Team has developed so far. Your comments are welcomed!
