Following the updates I shared 2 weeks ago regarding the SOI, staff has
finished the first draft of the CCOICI Recommendations Report. You can find
the draft and a more detailed description below.

I'll also do a brief update during the NCSG policy meeting in DC. Please
review the draft so we can have a fruitful discussion at the meeting.

on the review of the SOI requirements:

Note that the new content reflecting the CCOICI deliberations and
consideration of additional safeguards can be found in chapters 1 and 2.
Chapters 3 and 4 reproduce the recommendations of the SOI TF.



As discussed, it would be helpful if you could socialize the proposed
approach to address the concerns around the exemption with your respective
groups during ICANN77, as well as the additional background information the
CCOICI reviewed and considered (see slides
<https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/240617757/CCOICI%20-%20Exemption%20overview%20-%209%20May%202023.pdf?version=1&modificationDate=1685949398075&api=v2>).
As a reminder, we have an informal meeting scheduled for Thursday 15 June
at 15.30 local time (meeting room details will be shared closer to the
date) to allow for the sharing of initial feedback. In the meantime, please
feel free to add any comments, questions or suggestions you may have to the
google doc by using the ‘comment’ option.
