Dear members,
The Public Interest Registry (PIR) has put out a call for new members to
its Advisory Council on 23rd July
https://thenew.org/pir-welcomes-applications-for-advisory-council/ .
In the past NCSG has had a seat on the Advisory Council, despite not having
done so in the last 2 years. In keeping with the tradition, we would like
to offer PIR a slate of 3 candidates for their Nomcom to select one from
there. If you are interested in applying, please send your application to
the NCSG Policy Committee, via me (mesumbeslin at gmail.com) and Andrea
Glandon (andrea.glandon at icann.org) (in cc) no later than Wednesday 24th
August. The Policy Committee will make that selection over two weeks
thereafter, in a timely manner to get that slate out to PIR.
Candidate statements MUST demonstrate how the candidate:
- Either presently, or in the past, served in a leadership position
within the NCSG or an NCSG constituency;
- Contributed and initiated meaningful discussion on the NCUC, NPOC,
and/or NCSG mailing lists; and
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or interest in the work of, the Public
Interest Registry, and is willing to be an active participant in Public
Interest Registry discussions and debates.
Warmly,
Tomslin
