I have completed these comments to tbe best of my ability. I have solicited comment or help from Stephanie and others on the EPDP.  Unfortunately, I have gotten absolutely zero contribution. I encourage others to take a look, especially if they are familiar with Phase 1 of EPDP or are on the GNSO Council, just to see if I have made any missteps. Sometimes the legalities and intricacies of GDPR and Whois are complicated.

Happy new year!

I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that we don't have any volunteers to draft a comment for the request for community input prior to Board action on EPDP Priority 2 Policy Recommendations (i.e Recommendations 19 through to 22). The closing date for this is 22 January, so unless we have someone volunteer soon, we may not submit a comment to this important work we had our members participate in.

This is a policy development process that the NCSG has been very active on and holds strong views on certain issues, so it would be good to have volunteers start early with the drafting, giving enough time for members and the PC to review it.

Please let me know off-list if you'd like to volunteer for the comment drafting. It'll be nice to have more than one volunteers, including new-commers who can use this as an opportunity to learn and be familiar with policy work.

See below some best practices for the penholder:

  *   Provide the first draft on the mailing list in by day 21 of the comment period
  *   Try to resolve the comments throughout the duration of comment period
  *   Make sure that the commenter has seen how comment has been resolved (contact them directly if necessary)
