Dear all,
With reference to the clarification made by Robin Gross, I would like to
remind the community that a strong participation on the GNSO Council is a
must irrespective of regional consideration and gender. I would like to
nominate Wisdom Donkor as he is more than qualified for the GNSO Council
representative. Wisdom has demonstrated enough his potentials and
leadership skills over the years within ICANN and Internet Governance
communities. He has a deep understanding of DNS, technology and Internet,
open data, community development and empowerment and human resource
planning and development.
In addition, he has been an ICANN Fellow, coach and Booth lead for many
years; he has a deeper understanding of ICANN functions and processes and
very active member of NCUC and NCSG and thus contributes to many ICANN
working groups and policy discussions. Wisdom helped organize several ICANN
workshops and forums in Ghana and other part of the world. He has also
mentored many ICANN Fellows and many individual across Africa.
Aside that, I know he is also an active member of the following Advisory
Committees:
· National SDG’s Data Road Maps Advisory Committee. December
· ECOWAS, West Africa Internet Governance Forum Advisory Committee.
· AU, Africa Internet Governance Advisory committee
· Ghana Statistical Service Geospatial Working Committee
· International AID Transparency Initiative Task force working
committee.
· Ghana Energy Access Data Task Force Committee. October,
· Ghana Open Government Partnership (OGP) Advisory Committee.
· Ghana Internet Governance Forum planning committee
· Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition.
I believe he will be a very good addition to the work of the GNSO Council
and I hope he would accept this nomination.
Regards
ᐧ
