[council] Next Steps on EPDP Phase 1 Recommendation 27

Hi all,

I am sharing here the report and suggested approach for GNSO Council for
dealing with recommendation #27 from the EPDP phase 1 concerning the impact
of phase 1 recommendations implementation on existing consensus policies
and procedures related to RDS/Whois.

the work on the recommendation #27 was organized in 2 waves. the report
only concerns consensus policies and procedures falling under wave 1. We
have to cover this as it will be also part of the discussion in the GNSO
council regarding its future policy work for this year and coming years,
and prioritizing them.

we need some input/feedback but also if there is any question or inquiry we
should follow-up within the GNSO council.

Attached is a suggested approach to help prioritize and allocate the GNSO
Council’s work on EPDP Phase 1 Recommendation 27. Please review this and
socialize it with your respective SGs and Cs so we can discuss during our
upcoming 16 April Council meeting. This is a significant part of our
overall GNSO workload prioritization effort, and some items have urgency as
the Phase 1 Consensus Policy is implemented and comes into force.



A special thanks to our staff colleagues for pulling this together for our
consideration.  I am also attaching as reference ICANN Org’s final Wave 1
report originally received on 14 February.



I hope you all are safe and healthy as we deal with challenges related to
COVID-19.
