Hi,
There have been a couple of updates to PIR’s proposed Stewardship Council over the past week, and I thought it might be of interest to folks following the topic:
- On 16 March, Ethos/PIR/ISOC [announced additional updates to the proposed Public Interest Commitments for the .org Registry Agreement](https://www.keypointsabout.org/accountability), including how the Stewardship Council would be populated. In the announcement, they said that an executive search firm would be hired to solicit from a variety of .org stakeholders including from ICANN’s NCSG and ALAC.
- On 23 March, Ethos/PIR/ISOC [announced more details](https://www.keypointsabout.org/blog/ethos-announces-selection-process-for-org-stewardship-council) relevant to the previous announcement, including the upcoming establishment of a selection committee, which will review and evaluate candidates for the Stewardship Council.
- Also, on 23 March, a new website ([thestewardshipcouncil.org](http://thestewardshipcouncil.org/)) was created with [additional details](https://www.thestewardshipcouncil.org/nominations) on the selection process timeline, criteria and details on nomination, which will be part of overall process used to recruit members of the Stewardship Council.
If anyone here is interested in joining the Stewardship Council or nominating anyone else, please be sure to get your nominations in once the nomination period opens on 31 March, 2020 (closes on 1 June, 2020). Links to details about the Stewardship Council and its proposed Charter can also be found at [thestewardshipcouncil.org](http://thestewardshipcouncil.org/).
Thanks.
Amr
