Hi all
The EPDP team on On the Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data
- Phase 2 just published its initial report for public comment. This is an
important step for the EPDP team and also a good opportunity to comment on
the work done there. You can find here all the details
https://www.icann.org/public-comments/epdp-phase-2-initial-2020-02-07-en .
I cannot stress enough why this is important and why we should send our
input. There will be also a webinar this week to present the initial report
Thursday, 13 February 2020 at 14:00 UTC for 60 minutes
https://icann.zoom.us/s/331729252 .
I created this google doc to be used during the drafting and accessible to
all in order to kick off the discussion and comments:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-_V5dhAWCrQKNGHkHTvp4B3VUjdMNMHs0tAMu4m9iew/edit?usp=sharing
.
The public consultation is using a google form, structuring the input. You
can see the template here
https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/file/field-file-attach/epdp-phase-2-initial-public-comment-input-form-07feb20-en.pdf
and
our comment will be submitted through google form on due time.
Please let me offline if you want to volunteer to participate in drafting
the NCSG comment and join the drafting team. The drafting team will work
with our NCSG reps to EPDP team who can give all the details and insight
about the initial policy recommendations and the report itself.
You can find previous public comments submitted by NCSG in this wiki page
https://community.icann.org/display/gnsononcomstake/Public+Comments+-+2020 and
listing those who drafted them.
Best Regards,
Rafik Dammak
NCSG Policy Committee Chair
