Hi everyone,

Thank you, Stephanie, for the short and informative introduction on how to
start. And everyone else for the warm welcome!

I'm Jianne from Hong Kong, currently based in Japan. I've been involved in
the internet governance space for about 7 years now, beginning when I was
just in high school. I was also a former MAG member for the IGF. Currently,
I'm part of a group called Youth4IG, a grassroots initiative made up of
young people from Asia Pacific and founded by another NCUC member, Mili.
I've been to two ICANN meetings and have helped facilitate a mock ICANN
meeting with local students (for ICANN57, I was also part of the Social
Media WG then) in the past. My background is mostly on youth initiatives,
local outreach/engagement, and capacity building so I admit that policy
work is something I'm new at and still learning.

Thank you all for the encouragement to participate and I look forward to
the work and discussions and see how I can contribute and learn.

All the best,
*Jianne Soriano*
Y4IG Mentorship Chairperson
