Subject: Call for Expression of Interest for GNSO Council Standing
Committee on ICANN’s Budget and Operations (SCBO)
To: NCSG <NCSG-DISCUSS at listserv.syr.edu>

Dear Members,

As you may know, the GNSO Council has a Standing Committee on ICANN’s
Budget and Operations (SCBO) tasked with drafting inputs on behalf of the
Council that relate to ICANN’s budget matters (more information in the
charter
<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/file/field-file-attach/draft-icann-budget-operations-charter-21dec17-en.pdf>
).

The NCSG is able to appoint Subject Matter Experts (SME) to the SCBO to
help the SCBO in its work and to represent NCSG perspectives in the SCBO’s
activities. The SCBO will shortly begin to review ICANN’s budget for FY20
and to prepare a comment on this topic.

Candidates should:

   1.

   Possess knowledge and expertise on finance and budgetary matters;
   2.

   Be familiar with ICANN’s annual budget and operating planning process;
   3.

   Have knowledge and familiarity of the GNSO’s mission and role in term of
   gTLD policy development and its needs from a budgetary perspective;
   4.

   Be capable of familiarising themselves with the SCBO’s charter; and
   5.

   Commit to participating regularly in SCBO calls and in comment drafting.

Please send your application to the Chair of the NCSG Policy Committee (
rafik.dammak at gmail.com) and our support staff (maryam.bakoshi at icann.org) by
27th November.

Your application should include all relevant details about your experience
and knowledge on financial planning and budgetary matters, demonstrate your
familiarity with ICANN’s budgeting processes, note your availability and
commitment, include an updated Statement of Interest SOI, and any relevant
information for the NCSG Policy Committee’s consideration.

Best Regards,

Rafik
