Speaking from the human rights perspective, I have this rough hypothesis.

1. If sales are completed and price of dot Orgs goes up, most NGOs
struggling to get funding might choose not to renew their domain but look
for cheaper alternatives.

2. While the cost of sends them likely to ccTLD type of dot ORG, the
government who does not agree with such NGOs might do denial of service and
/ ask the government agencies in charge of the registration to deny them of
a ccTLD dot ORG.

3. What then happens if there is a spike in demand for ccTLD dot Orgs, the
ccTLD Registrars might increase the price of to own one?

Meanwhile, in another mail trail forwarded to the list, Andrew (CEO ISOC)
tried to address price increase concerns.
