Upcoming GNSO Council meeting at ICANN 65

This is to advise you that the NCSG-EC has selected Robin Gross as the candidate to replace Elsa Saade at the GNSO Council meeting in Marrakech.   We thank all the applicants who applied, this was a difficult decision.

The criteria we look for in Council members/alternates is experience on PDPs, regular attendance in listening to Council calls (Council is our core business folks, this is where policy is decided) and familiarity with current issues.  For those looking to learn more about Council, please listen in and attend the Policy Committee meetings with a good familiarity with the documents associated with the agenda.  Our next one is tomorrow, see Rafik's email that went out May 12 (I copied it below my earlier email, just for good measure).

Also a reminder, please fill out our questionnaire on onboarding and bringing our members up to speed on policy matters.  It will help us with our development programs and our continuous learning efforts.

Preference may be given to those who have been following GNSO Council meetings and attending policy meetings, or who have previous experience.   This is a working position, and the person must be able to come up to speed on GNSO matters rather quickly.

Hi all,

I am sharing here the NCSG Policy call draft agenda scheduled in Tuesday 14th May.
For council agenda, we don't have motion to vote (except confirmations in consent agenda) but several discussion topics. It is quire crammed and it is unlikely that all topics will covered enough. We will continue the discussion about the IGO-INGO next steps, but there is no rush for this one. We will have ICANN staff coming for IRTP status report and review and about the legislative/regulatory report. Brian Cute will be also there about the Evolution of Multistakeholder model.

Please review and feel free to suggest  addition/amendment to the agenda.
