Remmy doubtless, since you care about this you know the rules. Your concerns are duly noted. Perhaps you might like to initiate the discussion on this list as to what you feel needs fixing in the charter.

Kind regards,

Stephanie Perrin

Thanks Raph for the intervention.
Unfortunately, this is what should have been contained in the chair message to help understand why the message came at this time.

However, at any rate, its important she makes it an EC top priority to review the Charter in her second coming, with that she will writing her name in gold.

Regards
Remmy

Hi Remmy,

As far as I understand it, there is no review to be had for the time being since we could not come to an agreement as to what to review it to. You may remember that the issue was contentious, to say the least, and some people questioned whether it was worthwhile to stir things up for an "issue" that arises with a handful of members.

The requirement of having a second email is a technical one, somewhat imposed by the software we use to manage the membership database. This is what led to this announcement.

This specific email is not meant to reopen the debate, but with that being said, you and anyone else are free to contribute further to that discussion!

Have a nice day,

Thanks Stephanie,
I had said it times without number that Charter needs a review. So what is delaying it or do we have to wait till every election for EC to raise it and it died once more. I was thinking that by now we should have commenced action on this. Will appreciate if it will be on front burner of your second term.
Thanks

Hello everyone, this is just a reminder to clarify where we stand on the issue of voting where individuals who are members in their own right get a ballot, and also represent organizations and get additional ballots. We have not moved yet to change this duplicate problem or issue, but members may recall we have discussed the matter in the past. We encourage all members to choose whether they are voting as individuals, or whether they are voting in the name of their organization, because in the view of many of us, it is not appropriate to collect a number of votes. However, until the rules change in our charter, individuals may choose to vote twice, and must have have a separate email for personal and organizational votes.
