ICANN Remit: Security & Stability of the DNS System

Colleagues, As I cautioned in the posting where I share the information on
the DNS system attacks, I do not think that this area is within ICANN's
remit, nor should it be.
 It was just a posting to remind us of what is going with regard to DNS
stability and security on outside the ICANN remit, and to flag issues that
have to be addressed elsewhere. 
If anything, it was to remind us that issues of Internet Governance go well
beyond ICANN's properly limited remit, and call for engagement elsewhere.
