IGF call for issues deadline is in two days. Nigel is suggesting good
topics.
If you want to suggest a topic (has to be ICANN/DNS related if you want to
submit to CCWG-IG) let me know or you can become a member and send Nigel
ideas.

Colleagues
Good evening; still welcome any feedback on “Issues” you think IGF 2019
should address.
Ideas so far have included:
- The challenge of ensuring consistency between national / regional
legislation and the global policies that underpin the Internet - example of
the ICANN WHOIS in the context of GDPR;
- The challenge of an open Internet given government ordered shutdowns
of parts of DNS;
We have until 24th (close of play) to submit. Ideas will be reviewed by
the IGF/MAG which meets next week in Geneva; see
https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/#block-quicktabs-igf-2019-first-open-consultation
Separately, please see attached submission relating to the IGF 2018
Stocktaking exercise. This was composed from feedback concerning the IGF
in Paris and related issues.
Best

Colleagues
Good evening. The below (which I recognise some of you will have seen) is
a Call for issues for IGF2019.
Pursuant to a submission on this from ICANN would be good to have views on
what may be pertinent to discuss in November next year. We are asked to
submit comments by 24th January; ahead of the Open Consultation and MAG
meeting from 28th to 30th January; see
http://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2019-first-open-consultations-and-mag-meeting
Best regards
Nigel

Dear All,
As discussed in the virtual meeting the Secretariat has now published the
IGF2019 call for issues at :
https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2019-call-for-issues
[intgovforum.org]
<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.intgovforum.org_multilingual_content_igf-2D2019-2Dcall-2Dfor-2Dissues&d=DwMFAg&c=FmY1u3PJp6wrcrwll3mSVzgfkbPSS6sJms7xcl4I5cM&r=K2FTKNuWb7Wf7f2CPCidMAlhi_unNVA6jjeHLvfMGss&m=TPWcDGMSMOXGAUsc33HaNxK_WTRlMEdeIJ_GdbRkCuk&s=2DclU6v8TuBIqC3dyBYMeuLyDNIb6P5i-VoEDnSmyQs&e=>
the deadline is *24 January 2019.*
This call asks IGF stakeholders across the world to indicate what Internet
Governance issues are of high interest or importance to them. These will
act as an input to our first face to face meeting in January and help
inform the topics of the IGF2019 programme.
I would be grateful if you could distribute this information among your
respective networks.
Best regards,
Chengetai
