Thank you Bruna, yes, I guess domainincite.com and others have assumed this based on the update/blog post and the letter sent by ICANN to ISOC and PIR.

The Register also has an interesting story today on the subject. Referring to the questions asked by Mozilla and others, it says "While going out of its way to criticize ISOC and PIR for their lack of transparency and while claiming in the letter to ISOC that “transparency is a cornerstone of ICANN and how ICANN acts to protect the public interest while performing its role,” ICANN has yet to answer questions over its own role."
Here is the complete story.https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/12/11/icann_transparency_org/

Best,
Zakir

 Dear all,
Domain incite has just noticed that ICANN delayed the approval of the .org acquisition. This looks like a great follow up to mondays letter to PIR asking for more transparency on the deal!
