Once the sale is finalized, we will have little to no influence over the operation of .ORG.
MM: We had little to no influence before.
The only formal constraint on that operation is the Registry Agreement between PIR and ICANN.
MM: This is correct.
This means that if we don't stop or at least delay the sale, we can "engage" with the newly for-profit PIR all we want, but they will have little incentive to make any changes.
MM: This is not correct. It means we need to change the RA. That in turn means we need to push ICANN to demand certain modifications of the RA as part of its approval of the change of control. Can we please focus on that?
