[Urgent] [Public Comment] Proposed Renewal of .org Registry Agreement

Hi Amr,

Thanks very much for this valuable feedback. Just a small point of
clarification - any price rises, if they occur, will impact incumbent
registrants (though, they have an option of locking in current prices by
purchasing a longer term package).

To me, it's less about the status of PIR as a non-profit (which of course
we wouldn't want to penalize) and more about the status of .Org as a home
for non-profits, which I think distinguishes it from other domains, and
which, I think, does support treatment that's different from what we would
expect for traditional commercial domains. But I agree it's a tough issue,
and I think the current language is meant to approach things cautiously
from that perspective - recognizing a need to adapt to market forces, while
still keeping the door open for some controls, or a review of the impact on
registrations.

Would be very interested to hear others' thoughts on this, as I think it's
a tricky one.

Best,

Michael
