*NCSG/NCUC/NPOC Capacity Building Webinar Announcement:  Moving the
Conversation with Consensus Building*



The next offering of the NCSG/NCUC/NPOC capacity building efforts will take
place on *Thursday, September 20th at 12 UTC and 19 UTC*.  The two
offerings are duplicates of the same webinar to accommodate varied time
zones.  See registration information below to join the session.



We are planning for a maximum of two-hours for each webinar and will
include the following content:



   1. Overview of consensus building;
   2. Preparing for meetings;
   3. Position assessment:
      1. Discuss prework scenario assessment
   4. Barriers to consensus:
      1. Discuss ICANN barriers
   5. Conducting/participating in process:
      1. Discuss in small groups how to overcome value differences
   6. Virtual interaction.



The webinar will be interactive with opportunities to ask questions and
work with scenarios as a way to practice consensus building skills framed
for the NCSG/NCUC/NPOC communities within ICANN.

Dr. David Kolb will be conducting the webinar.  He was with us in Panama
for our face to face workshop which touched on these topics but did not go
as deep as this webinar is designed to do.  Dr. Kolb has been working with
the ICANN community and ICANN staff since 2013 and is managing director of
Incite Learning a professional development training and consulting
company.
