Privacy Update: Convention 108

List members might be interested in this latest article by Graham 
Greenleaf, on the updated Council of Europe Convention 108 on data 
protection. I think it explains a complex matter rather well.  There are 
now 52 signatories to the existing 108, and this article explains what 
is happening with the updated Convention, and whether it will be GDPR 
compliant.  The Convention is an extremely useful instrument, and will 
encourage global harmonization.  There are now 126 countries with data 
protection law.
