Rafik: other PDP is subsequent  procedures for new gTLD program as the WG will publis its intial report after panama meeting

Rafik: and there is the Rights Protection MEchanism

Stephanie Perrin: we need to caucus as an NCSG group as to how we feel about the other PDPs affected by GDPR compliance and WHOIS lack of policy.  This includes Thick transition, PPSAI IRT, and "picket fence" items in the contracted parties contracts, notably the 2013 RAA

James Njoeoge Gitau: Sorry everyone today I am in late and I am still strugling with technology.

Poncelet Ileleji: That\s right @Stephanie, it will be good you take the lead with Rafik on this NCSG Caucus

Stephanie Perrin: The RDS group is on hold for the moment, but it is unrealistic in my view to try to pour all these issues into EPDPs ad expect a good outcome.   History does not show us winning with that kind of approach.

Rafik: @stephanie it is not the goal to have everything in EPDP, that is why I am bagging you guys in Pc about working on scope first :)

Rafik: thanks Poncelet that is the idea is to organzie ourselves as group between those who will appoint and those folllowing and monitoring the discussions as observers to buuld group positions

Poncelet Ileleji: @Rafik, the Scoping I agree +1

Stephanie Perrin: I know it is not our goal Fik, but I do believe it is a BC goal.

Stephanie Perrin: I don't think there is concensus on the Council yet, do you?

Rafik: @stephanie that is we have to be vocal and do our homework

Rafik: I know Susan was pushing on last call

Stephanie Perrin: If folks are looking for how to be engaged on privacy, I would urge them to take a look at the privacy proxy records.  We are heading to a very unfortunate outcome on the IRT in my view, it may be that privacy proxy services are going to be priced out of existence.  This has serious implications for registrants in non GDPR countries.

Stephanie Perrin: The cost model that ICANN is imposing on registrars and privacy proxy services providers appears to be too high.

Poncelet Ileleji: Invariable non GDPR countries are going to be indirectly affected by it, So its worth engaging

Akinremi Peter Taiwo: @Stephanie. Could you throw more light on the privacy proxy services with links.

Rafik: @Su it is implemenation phase with IRT

Rafik: the WG delivered its recommendations and passed it to IRT

Rafik: Stephanie was talking about IRT where in many times there is risk of implementation diverge from recommendations or adding things never agrred
