Kathy 2: There are legal standards for lawyers - if they ignore something they know (and have been trained in) there are actions we can take under bar association rules.

Farzaneh Badii: so for the newcomers to this meeting, the emeregency policy development process will make very important policies that can affect the privacy of domain name registrants. This is why it's important for us to be involved

Farzaneh Badii: and we want to know the most effective way to get involved with the ePDP

Kathy 2: Have those Board Members studied the GDPR?

Farzaneh Badii: Avri is here ... :)))

Farzaneh Badii: so basically ePDP is a policy development group that will discuss how registries and registrars should comply with GDPR when they deal with personal information of domain name registrants

Kathy 2: Could you tell us who is in the caucus?

Farzaneh Badii: Razoana I will explain in more simple terms on our webinar on Thursday

Akinremi Peter Taiwo: How do we know the part of this policy that will not follow the normal consensus procedures? And as for the NCSG, what part should we be keenly interested?

Farzaneh Badii: well I don't think we should put Avri on the spot too much now. we have a meeting with her and GNSO appointed board during Panama. lets use that opportunity.

Rafik: it will follow the normal consensus proces, not change here. we are using another process in NSo operating procedures

Kathy 2: EPDP expires, but can be renewed 3 times?

Kathy 2: Tx!

Kathy 2: Rafik and other Councilors, do you have other changes you are seeking?

avri doria: we can renew the Temp Spec every 3 months 3 times.  The ePDP is the Council's issue/

Kathy 2: did it suddenly go quiet?

Farzaneh Badii: I can't hear anything

Maryam Bakoshi: Rafik will dial back in

Rafik: I am joining through AC

Rafik: not dial in

Rafik: @kathy not really, the focus is to get the scope right

Farzaneh Badii: I actually made IPC/BC to get rid of IPC/BC accreditation model from the description of one of the sessions ...and juist say broadly accreditation model

Kathy 2: But how do we knoiw that ACs are representing their groups?

Farzaneh Badii: they appoint one member to the epdp Kathy

Kathy 2: e.g. Public Safety Working Grup is not all of the GAC

Poncelet Ileleji: True Kathy

Farzaneh Badii: public safety group if wants to be appointed has to be appointed through GAC (one member only)

Kathy 2: I expect it will be Alan Davidson (ALAC) and PSWG (GAC)

Farzaneh Badii: yes of course , they wont appoint Holly
