Dear all

My intention was to show good faith and taking a step forward towards
making improvements in our processes. Which I promised during the campaign
and we are making progress.  In the process of explaining myself and
providing my reasons I gave the impression that people, leaders members
cannot ask questions. This is not the case. I make myself readily available
to answer questions transparently and on this mailing list.

As to the time that it took for membership approval, NCSG EC members have
to all go through each applicant and comment. This takes us  time, because
not at all times everyone is responsive. There was also a glitch with the
system. We have made improvements on that. I am also working on making
civicrm (our database management) more efficient.

As to the other concerns Raoul is mentioning, I am not so clear what he
means by kicking out a "selected member" from EC list. As soon as he
clarifies I will explain as much as I can.

We always inform approved members periodically and not wait for other
inquiries but

he system didn't save ncsg ec members comments. There was approximately a
20 day delay. If I am not mistaken.

What can we do about that? If we are running late we can send emails to the
applicants. We can also have a confirmation email set up.

I am not denying the shortcomings. I encourage you to contact me if you
have any question regarding decisions. I will remain responsive.

There is always something not to be liked or a leadership style you might
not approve of. We can have discussions to resolve them.

It's a pat on the shoulder but I am and was very much an advocate for
outreach and making opportunities for it to happen.
