NCSG Travel Policy Lacks Inclusivity Please

Hi Stephanie,

I also agree to the FC providing regular updates on the NCSG monthly calls,
this will help a lot in getting members comments and updates on FC and NCSG
financial activities and plans. I think it would be a good to have a GNSO
councillor member like yourself on the NCSG FC as an observer to share best
practices and advice where the FC does not find joy or satisfactory
responses to questions or concerns raised.

Ever since my involvement on the FC, I have sensed that the NCSG FC is not
given enough room to function as stipulated on the NCSG charter, not sure
why because it (FC) should be the pillar of financial transparency and
accountability and ensure activities of the NCSG and its constituencies are
inclusive and well resourced because with the FC lacking support, the
community will always be disgrantled leading to limited participation in
the PDP of ICANN and SG activities.

As much as NCSG and constituency work is focused on policy development,
review and comment amongst other things, financial activities should
support this type of work. Communities cannot function effectively without
financial support, transparency or accountability, even with some past FC
members they showed dissatisfaction in how the FC issues were handled,
mostly around accountability and transparency challenges.

To date, there is no financial reporting or accountability at NCSG because
the FC has not been fully functional nor visible and the current FC is
working to change all that. There is still a lot of work to be done to
revive the FC, of which the FC itself is prepared to undertake without any
operational limitations placed on it. We hope to discuss this further in
the next Monthly NCSG call, thanks.
