ICANN "Convergence Model"

Hi all,

Details on the model that ICANN is looking to turn to, so that WHOIS does not 'go dark' from May, are starting to drip out. The attached slide deck was presented during a combined IPC/BC webinar today; see in particular slides 5 to 8. Later in the call, John Jeffrey joined to answer questions about the "Convergence Model." We are told that ICANN will likely formally announce this next week. If you are wondering why the IPC and BC saw this model before the formal announcement, that's a good question but I don't have an answer.
