This is a reminder that the deadline to apply for the GNSO mentor for the fellowship program is coming up on Friday.  Since the Selection Committee of the GNSO is handling this, and they have a form and a process in place, NCSG is not going to make recommendations about our nominees, but will leave it to our reps on the committee. Please ignore my earlier email to send your expression of interest to me and Maryam.

The GNSO has been invited to nominate one individual to serve as an ICANN Fellowship Program mentor for the calendar year 2019 (ICANN64, ICANN65, and ICANN66). The GNSO is hereby opening a call for Expressions of Interest to solicit volunteers for this position. Please see details below. Please find below a call for applications to serve as a mentor for the Fellowship program.  Note that the GNSO only has one (1) representative, so this is a neutral role for someone who can represent and provide information about all the different stakeholder groups present at Council.  For your convenience, I attach the desired skills and experience from the website, but I would encourage those interested in volunteering for this position, which comes with travel to three ICANN meetings (64-66) to explore the information given below.  I would suggest that experience on PDPs is a required asset here (emphasis below is my addition).  Please note the deadline for all applicants to apply is December 7, [SNIP]

  *   Active participant in GNSO structures and policy development processes with a track record of engagement
  *   Previous experience serving as a mentor, teacher, or learning facilitator is a plus
  *   Strong written and verbal communication skills
