Greetings all from Dakar region in Sénégal, West Africa.
First of all, I would like to warmly congratulate our outgoing NCSG,
Farzaneh Badii, for her 'professionalism' in this area of Internet
governance in general and that of ICANN in particular. Thank you very much,
Farzi. Thanks to you, I learned a lot in this field of IG and even in my
personal development. I learned, through your mandates at the head of the
NCSG and the NCUC, behaviors to know and adopt in terms of governance
simply, that's why I'll thank you very much. It must be said that from my
six years at ICANN, it was during her tenure at the head of the NCUC and
the NCSG that many things have been standardized within these two entities
and it is absolutely rewarding for those of us who realized it. For the
future, I wish you good luck and success IB everything you undertake.
As for the appointment of our dearest friend and brother Rafik as head of
the GNSO, I now see it as a logical and even trivial sequence. Rafik indeed
deserves this position, indisputably. I therefore approve of this
appointment in my dual position as NPOC member and member of NCUC.
Finally, I would like to testify here that since joining the NCSG and
NPOC, only during the term of office of the Executive Board of the NCSG and
its 2 constituents, have I better understood how it actually works. ICANN,
how it should work, and many other concepts. The trio Joan Kerr, Renata
Aquino Ribeiro, Farzaneh Fadii was brilliant and fantastic. Well done !
Kudos to all of you, Kudos to all of us!
Warm regards
Olevie Ayaovi KOUAMI
