Reminder: NCSG Elections closing on Sept 2nd

Hi Arsène,

Thanks for responding so candidly.

I am not here to speak about what others believe; I can only tell you what I believe and what I would prioritise doing if elected to this office. So personally and as a matter of principle, I would not seek to compare and contrast my views with those of the other candidates.

What I did do, however, was respond to Niels question by flagging a topic where I think - in my own self-assessment of my positions - it is possible my views differ from those of the other candidates. Maybe I'm wrong. I would not profess for it to be anything but my best guess as to where my views are not so normative.

Ultimately, Niels is best placed to clarify whether or not he considered my response to answer his question. If it doesn't, I'd be more than pleased to expand upon my thoughts. But I'm not going to do it by engaging in negative campaigning or speaking to the views that others hold near and dear — because I could not possibly do so.

I was expecting you to present your situation/positions (as you did) and then say candidate X has proven to be standing for issues out of NCSG's values such as XYZ and there you go with other candidates. So, those were the things i was expecting you to dwell into but i was glad to note you chose not to because this would have led to unhealthy debate and what i would have called negative campaigning, something most of us decided to avoid. I hope i was able to clearly type the content of my thinking on this very aspect. And I thank you again for wanting to know more on this.
