Hi All,
Firstly, I am excited that NSCG statement or comment opportunities, Dorothy
has done a great job so far. Thank you
I am also glad that this study was done, and I believe it will be a
reference point for future studies or surveys for Domain Name market in
Africa.
The reports give a good indication of the dependencies of IXPs presences
on Internet growth in each country in Africa, the report did not highlight
why there are limited numbers of IXPs.
It will be interesting to also highlight why many domain names are not
hosted on the continent, I believe the report can highlight the
availability of power (electricity) as a major factor.
The survey response or circulation show the level of ICANN participation or
awareness on the continent, there is still a lot more space to cover.
This is my initial reaction and thought,
Thank you,
Benjamin
