ICANN has appointed a Chief Data Protection Officer

Security breaches have reinforced the need for all organisations to ensure
that  information is secure. This is a key principle of data protection.
The data protection will give us the  *important*  rights and*protection* in
an age where more and more information is being collected and traded.

As much as we discussing the needs for data protection we must as well
discuss Open data and the kind of data that must be open.
