Good summary of recent WHOIS activities

For those struggling to keep up with the many things going on at ICANN 
recently related to WHOIS or Registration Data Services, this article in 
CircleID might be helpful.  It does not get into my favorite topic, 
privacy and the impending General Data Protection Regulation, but it is 
still a reasonably good summary of current working groups and activities.
