Yup exactly, this round is for the LTP graduates only, depending on capacity it will be opened up for further registrations in the ‘next’ round starting I assume next week.
This is just the trail run of the program and I understand that if its successful next year would be a full open registration process.

As far as I know, the programme is going to be opened for all tomorrow. This is the last day for the people from past LP's to register.

I’m not quite sure why it was shared here however, to my knowledge there are only 3-4 NCSG members who are graduates and I wouldn’t want to fill up the application process with ineligible members, so please everyone ONLY apply if you are a graduate and received the invitation via the LTP graduate mailing list, no other members are currently eligible for this program, so lets not waste staffs time with additional applications.

The ICANN Academy Intercultural Awareness Programme<https://community.icann.org/display/LTP/ICANN+Academy+Intercultural+Awareness+Program> is currently accepting applicants — but only if you have previously participated in the ICANN Academy Leadership Programme, of which sparingly few people will have.

From a cursory glance at the issues being discussed it sounds like something which many of our members would find interesting (maybe even beneficial), so it is unfortunate that registration is so restricted and lacks the very inclusivity that the programme itself claims to be addressing.

Given how scarce resources are, it would make more sense to me to widen the pool of candidates and to potentially reach someone who has not already benefited from an ICANN leadership course. Perhaps we can feed this suggestion back.

Anyway, rant over. If you are one of the extremely few people who have participated in the ICANN Academy Leadership Program, you have the opportunity to take part in the intercultural awareness programme in Abu Dhabi.
