ICANN Academy Intercultural Awareness Programme - Deadline 31 August

The [ICANN Academy Intercultural Awareness Programme](https://community.icann.org/display/LTP/ICANN+Academy+Intercultural+Awareness+Program) is currently accepting applicants — but only if you have previously participated in the ICANN Academy Leadership Programme, of which sparingly few people will have.

From a cursory glance at the issues being discussed it sounds like something which many of our members would find interesting (maybe even beneficial), so it is unfortunate that registration is so restricted and lacks the very inclusivity that the programme itself claims to be addressing.

Given how scarce resources are, it would make more sense to me to widen the pool of candidates and to potentially reach someone who has not already benefited from an ICANN leadership course. Perhaps we can feed this suggestion back.

Anyway, rant over.
