Objet : [NCSG-Discuss] Nomination for Arsene Tungali for a seat on the GNSOCouncil
Dear all,
I would like to nominate Arsene Tungali for an NCSG seat on the GNSO Council. Arsene is from the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Africa.
I have known Arsene for quite a number of years through his intensive involvement in everything Internet governance and a strong civil society voice. He is at the forefront of fighting against Internet freedom violations in Africa and the world, and is interested in human right aspects of the Internet.
Arsene has been an ICANN fellow and was a Coach for ICANN59, giving him an understanding of the ICANN structure and a knowledge of the place it has in the IG ecosystem. He is currently a member of the CCWG on Auction Proceeds as well as the WS2 on Diversity.
Though he might not very famous at the NCSG level but he has contributed to various policy discussions at the NCUC as well as at the SG level here. And he is a hardworking young man who is always available to learn.
I would like to nominate him and I hope he can accept to take on this challenge, and I hope the community will give him an opportunity to bring a new and fresh voice on the Council as I am sure Arsene will represent African views very well. He is fluent in French and in English which is an asset as we work on encouraging diversity.
Mamadou
