I have to agree with MM on this one, Paul's position is neither
coherent or logical.

If you are trying to bake a loaf of bread and shut the oven off
halfway through baking, you get a ruined loaf, not "half a loaf".

Perhaps Yoda said it best "There is no try, only do or not do".
