Hi everybody,
Today at 15:00 UTC (10:00 ET) the United States Senate Committee on
Commerce, Science and Transportation will be holding a hearing on
"Preserving the Multistakeholder Model of Internet Governance".
Among those testifying will be ICANN CEO Fadi Chehade and NTIA Assistant
Secretary Larry Strickling.
Live audio of the hearing is scheduled to be available worldwide, courtesy
of C-Span, at http://www.capitolhearings.org .
In preparation for the meeting folks might want to review the July 2014
letter to ICANN Board Chair Steve Crocker from Committee members Senator
John Thune and Senator Marco Rubio. The letter may be accessed here:
https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/correspondence/thune-rubio-to-crocker-31jul14-en.pdf
. With the recent change in Senate control Senator Thune is now Chair of
the Commerce committee.
Best,
Ed
