ISOC Board of Trustees election - Walid Al-Saqaf

Dear colleagues,

Thank you all for your kind congrats and wishes. I am grateful to you as
members of NCSG and its chair Rafik as well as members of NCUC and  its
chair Bill for all their work because the discussions and ideas that
circulated here have influenced my thinking about Internet issues in many
POSITIVE ways.

With its genuine bottom-up approach, the ICANN community has inspired me
tremendously. So much so that I noted it in my ISOC BoT campaign as an
example that could be replicated in ISOC, which I think contributed to my
election win (provided of course that the results are confirmed on April
21).

If you have any thoughts or advice, please don't hesitate to send them to
me privately as I'll need all the guidance I could get for this new and
demanding position in ISOC.
