While I appreciate Wolfgang’s cautions in his analysis of the subtleties 
of the GAC/Board relationship in his CircleID piece, I am drawn back to 
a simple core observation here.

The existing processes work and as the Internet matures the 
multistakeholder process will push governments into greater 
collaboration with their own stakeholders, and that is a good thing.

The changes to the process will potentially reduce the need for 
governments to be accountable to their own stakeholders, and that will 
be a bad thing, not just for Internet policy but for the planet.

The existing processes not only work, they lean in the right direction.
