you will find below some information about GAC sessions organized for the
community during LA meeting next week. one of the topics is related to the
issue by Robin in the mailing list regarding Geo names.

Please note that there will be two GAC sessions in LA dedicated to
informing the community:



·         *“GAC Open Forum”, Wednesday 15 October, 0800-0930*, to provide
information about the structure of the GAC and how the GAC operates, with
examples and time for Q&A. http://la51.icann.org/en/schedule/wed-gac-forum .



·         *“Geographic Names”, Wednesday 15 October, 0930-1000*, to inform
about and exchange views on a draft WG document regarding protection of
geographic names in future New gTLD rounds.

Both sessions will be held in the *GAC room, Plaza Pavilion*. Your
assistance in notifying your community members about these sessions would
be much appreciated.



It deserves to be mentioned that all other GAC sessions in LA are open as
well, except the Communiqué drafting session Wednesday afternoon.
