Hi all,
Not sure how news-worthy this might be to most on this list, but there is a Middle East Strategy Working Group (MESWG) that has been working on an ICANN Middle East strategy for the past few months. The WG published a draft outline for a suggested plan for ICANN to engage stakeholders in the ME over the next few years, and this document is now available for public comment. The MESWG is also holding a meeting to discuss the plan with anyone who is interested in Beijing. Details below.
Thanks.
Amr

> May I ask those who participate in the various ICANN SO/AC/ and related constituencies, to share with their members information about the session on Monday and encourage people to participate. Also, please share with them the announcement on the wiki https://community.icann.org/display/MES/Middle+East+Strategy and encourage feedback.

We will be working on the slides shortly, and will share them with you beforehand. I also invited the two top executives of ICANN's Global Stakeholder Engagement to join the panel (Sally Costerton and Tarek Kamel).

Suggested time for this meeting is Thursday 11th 13:00-14:00 Beijing local time. I'm working on making a bridge available for those who are not in Beijing and would like to join us. If anyone needs a dial-out please let me know.
