Hi Tomslin,

I hope all is well. Is there any chance we might slide in a
quick comment on the ICANN Board's proposed Participant Code of
Conduct? The proceeding asks 3 questions that we can
quickly answer given our past NCSG work on this issue and
discussion in Istanbul.

As posed in the Public Comment -- with some proposed succinct
answers:

Key questions:

Does the ICANN Community Participant Code of Conduct
Concerning Statements of Interest adequately address the issue
of setting clear expectations for community disclosures of
interests? ==> It is something we
badly need and NCSG supports it.

Are there items you believe are missing from the Code
or that should be removed from the Code, and why?
==> For now, this covers important
issues and fills in critical gaps.

Are there other ethical issues you wish to see
addressed as part of the broader ICANN Community Ethics
Policy? ==> We
have nothing further to offer at this time, and we look
forward to reviewing the suggestions of others, including on
enforcement, in this comment proceeding.

----------

If you like it, I think this would give a short and important
comment.

If you are asked for a summary, I think you can fairly say that
in the GNSO, NCSG has been a leader and advocate for sound
Conflict of Interest policies.

Best, Kathy
