In past Community planning discussions about topics and sessions to be<br>
scheduled at an ICANN meeting,  there was a suggestion made that ICANN<br>
org may wish to highlight a topic of interest to the Community and<br>
organize a session.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
For ICANN63, I have been asked by Göran and the Executive team to<br>
request a 60-minute session to explain the revised  FY20 Budget<br>
Planning Process.  The adoption of the ICANN FY20 Budget is targeted<br>
one month earlier than FY19 in order to permit Board approval well in<br>
advance of the next fiscal year and to provide time for the Empowered<br>
community process related to the budget proposal.<br>

<br>
This session will provide an opportunity for Göran and ICANN<br>
executives to share with the Community:<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
-- the planning structure,<br>
<br>
--new budget process improvements,<br>
<br>
-- a timeline for next steps,<br>
<br>
--a discussion on  budget priorities, and<br>
<br>
-- highlight  the Community involvement and inputs into the FY20<br>
Planning Process.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
If you agree with this proposed session, I will work with the meeting<br>
team to schedule it, likely toward the end of the ICANN63 week.<br>
