As a former GAC liaison, I think it is a good idea, and we should<br>
definitely try. One challenge is that GAC doesn't really do "small"<br>
(or "informal") apart from clearly defined and designated sub-teams<br>
or representatives (such as "leadership" or "working group<br>
representatives"). With enough lead time, they might be able to do<br>
something like "a few members working on topic X", but in that case<br>
they might not represent the GAC overall view.<br>
<br>
We also have to remember that our best hope from small meetings with<br>
them is to better understand their concerns, arguments and positions.<br>
There is not much chance to actually influence them . that has to<br>
happen through the GNSO council that needs to get better at pushing<br>
back at GAC and the board.<br>
