<div><b>1. Lessons learned from the CCWG on AP meeting that took place in Kobe during ICANN64 are as follows:</b></div>
<div>The aim of the session was to discuss the process development for AP allocations and give an update, Legal and financial requirements within which this allocation must take lace was explained and different mechanisms that can be used for allocation and
facilitation of distribution. According to this meeting deliberations, it seems like a department within ICANN will be developed or ICANN facilitating the process itself. It was also indicated that these AP will not be used to fund ICANN operational expenses
and ABRs, however a certain portion has been allocated to the reserve fund.<br>

<div><b>2. New gTLD Subsequent procedures</b><br>

<div>During ICANN64, I also followed New gTLD Subsequent procedures (WS5) discussions which were centered around policy recommendations regarding preservation and protection of Geo-names, where discussions took place around overlap in names, similarities, and
collisions. Different conditions were also discussed lie city names and non-capital names, while some members strongly feel that names should be made available without any protection and that government or public authority approval might be needed to resolve
this issues.</div>

<div><b>3. GNSO operational procedure</b>s<br>
</div>
<div>While Chairing the Finance Committee of NCSG, I also took time to understand and study material on how the GNSO operates, so I am informed about operational procedures and standards. I am also conversant with the GNSO PDP to a certain extent and current
work of the GNSO includes: <br>

<div>- EPDP on Temp Spec Phase 2 -
<u>CCWG on New gTLD Auction Proceeds</u></div>
<div>- Review of Rights Protection Mechanism (RPM) trademark claims -

<div>The meeting attended focussed on the WHOIS database and the need for the development of its policy. During this meeting, implications of a Temp Spec on WHOIS data were also discussed and the need to trained more people on GDPR.

planned to attend if costs associated with the travel were not too<br>

changed. I would like to insist onf the fact that I use to follow the<br>
GNSO Council work, listen to their meetings' audio streaming in<br>
addition to closely monitoring the work of the EPDP team. Also, I am<br>
considering to join the team during phase 2 or contribute more<br>
substantively, because I consider "Access Models" a critical issue for<br>
the registration data service, it requires not only a strong legal<br>
background but also some technical (security) skills that I would like<br>
to bring in.<br>

Please consider this my statement of interest to substitute for Elsa on the GNSO Council during ICANN #65 in Marrakech. Given my current experience on the NCSG Executive Committee and as a member of the leadership team for the GNSO New GTLD Subsequent Procedures Working Group, and my past experience as a two-term GNSO Councilor representing noncommercial users, I believe I can contribute to NCSG’s policy work at ICANN #65. I listen to the audio of most GNSO Council meetings either live or shortly thereafter, as I’ve followed the GNSO Council work for many years. I am able to book my travel arrangements immediately and do not require obtaining a visa in advance for this trip. I stand ready to provide any additional information or clarifications needed to more effectively evaluate this application.<br>

the work would probably have been wrapped up and the public comment would be out and I would be ecstatic to actually be able to participate in the meetings face to face at that significant time. </span></font></p>
