I just received the message below from Ed. He is indeed leaving.<br>

This means we need to appoint a temporary alternate(s) for him until<br>
Abu Dhabi as well as put his council position up for election (1-year<br>
term).<br>

As there's council meeting *tomorrow*, we don't have time for a call<br>
before that. So I propose appoint Avri as temporary alternate just for<br>
tomorrow with quick unless-nobody-objects procedure on the list - for<br>
longer term we can decide on our next call, whether it's next week or<br>
the one after that. (If I read the GNSO OPs right a proxy assignment<br>
is not possible in this case.)<br>
<br>
So: please let me know WITHIN 24 HOURS if you object to appointing<br>
Avri as temporary replacement for the next council meeting on 13 July.<br>

Thanks for your warm wishes on my Facebook page. Things seem to be going <br>
reasonably well here health-wise, but it's going to take time.<br>
<br>
As we discussed a month ago, my work here was likely coming to an end soon <br>
thanks to some employment opportunities that have come my way. Due to some <br>
new circumstances beyond my control, though, we need to push the date up a <br>
bit. So, sadly, please completely remove me from all NCSG lists, let the <br>
GNSO know I won't be able to continue on Council, obviously you'll need to <br>
get a replacement as NCSG Treasurer and Chair of the NCSG FC - you know the <br>
drill. I need to focus my attention elsewhere right now. Really sorry I <br>
have to walk away so soon, particularly with all the work I've been trying <br>
to do on behalf of the NCSG membership, but sometimes life throws you a <br>
curve ball that takes complete concentration to hit.<br>
<br>
Thanks for your leadership - one of the few bright spots in an organization <br>
increasingly void of same.<br>
