Key topics:<br>

* A set of ASCII and corresponding LD TLD(s) must be applied for<br>

* The same entity principle will generally apply for the 2nd level,<br>
  although discussion on some borderline cases continues.<br>

* The definition of "diacritic", for the purposes of this PDP,<br>
  will include both Unicode-decomposable and precomposed-only<br>
  (of the form "small latin letter with ...") diacritics.<br>

The last is something I've been pushing for, and I'm happy that my<br>
proposal was accepted. Mainly it adds some 15 characters with hook,<br>
tail and stroke used by many African, Scandinavian, Slavic and some<br>
other languages.<br>
<br>
This was something of a compromise as I would have wanted to include<br>
also other characters that could've been treated similarly even though<br>
they are not diacritics in any sense, like æ and ŋ. But that would<br>
have required amending the charter and extra work as they would have<br>
to have been analyzed individually to determine which ASCII strings<br>
they'd be confusable with. Work for another PDP...<br>
