I think that is good. We need to find a solution. I agree that
the recommendations should not have been removed, but it was and
there is nothing we can do right now. That ship has sailed
already.

None of the other constituencies wanted to restart the process,
they voted to go forward with the other recommendations and move
forward. It seems the Board also agreed. The Board and NomCom are
now implementing what was in the recommendations and the public
comments.

We need to find out from the Board and from Sally about what
happened with all the advice that all the constituencies sent her
with regard to her letter. Also, what she plans on doing? The
rebalancing issues were taken off the public comment proceedings
that went out to the community and that the community responded
to. The pressure on rebalancing is what led to her letter to the
constituencies about what should be done, but this was given last
year and nothing has been done since. So now is the time for
action, however, we should also be realistic in what we hope to
accomplish

I think your suggestion is a good one. Let me know how I can help

Obviously the community does not want to support a fair

there is a power imbalance should not be solely decided by the

Hi Julf,

Caleb was right. These actions occurred during the
NomCom Review Committee. there were many protests by
other groups and as NCSG or NPOC did not have a rep on
this committee or if they did the rep was not active
so when these decisions were made to take out the
rebalancing from the recommendations there was no one
there to oppose it and change people’s minds. I had
asked this question when the public comment first came
out and it had the rebalancing issues still there by
mistake and this is the answers and information I was
given by the people on the committee.

As such Rebalancing was removed from the
recommendations and was taken out of the public

was decided that advice would be sought from each of
the SOs and ACs and other groups on how best to do the
rebalancing. That advice was given but not sure
whatever happened to it.

I am, like Pedro, a bit confused about this -
did the team actually
recommend re-balancing, but the board removed
it, or did the team
decide to remove the recommendation from the
final version that
went to the board?
That would be the sensible thing to do, yes,
but that doesn't seem
to be what the recommendation says.
